LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
Lake Mburo National Park is a national park located in Nyabushozi County, Kiruhura District near Mbarara in Uganda.
Wildlife
The park hosts zebra, hippopotamus, impala, warthog, common eland, African buffalo and over 300 bird species. Predators may include the lion, leopards, hyenas, genets, civets, jackals and serval cats, among others.
Lake Mburo national park has a water body where it derived its name ‘Lake Mburo’, on this lake visitors do boat cruise and enjoy different attractions on water and the sun set is also interesting.
The park is managed by Uganda wildlife Authority and it transferred giraffes from Murchison falls to this park. So among the animals to be seen at Lake Mburo National park, giraffes are included.
Accommodation around the park includes, Acadia cottages, Rwakobo, Mburo safari lodge, eagles nest, Mihingo lodge etc.
