Why Camping
To save money – It’s a pocket-friendly way of getting outside with family or friends compared to staying in Hotels and Lodge. You can camp in many state and national parks/ game reserves; at private campgrounds, in the backcountry, or even in your own backyard.
To utilize other benefits – added advantage especially in some campsites which include a picnic table, parking yards, a spot to pitch your tent, spotlights, shared bathrooms and running water among others.
To reduce stress – relax amidst nature, freedom of movement, and not specific schedules and there’s nothing interrupting you or competing for your attention.
To enjoy the fresh air – when you camp near the forest or any other type of natural vegetation, near water bodies, expect to breathe in the fresh air.
Expect moments of silence that build or strengthen relationships – When you go camping with friends or family, you get a chance to talk and visit without distraction, even late into the night.
To gain technical know-how – Fixing the tents requires some skills and, in the process, you become a tent fixer expert. Such skills benefit you for future camping safaris. More skills are gained when gathering firewood or lighting gas cookers to prepare your meals.
To gain physical fitness – When you go for a hike, fix tents, prepare meals among others. Such activities help you to gain physical fitness because camping directly engages you in such physical activity.
Great food (you prepare your best) – Food just tastes better when prepared in the outdoors. During camping, you become your own chef, you can mix your food with the best flours of your choice.
To get in touch with nature – encounter wildlife, feel the sun directly, swim in the water, sleep on the ground, and so on. There’s nothing quite like it.
To develop independent minds – Many people learn to fix things on their own (problem-solving) It’s important for children to gradually become more independent and confident in their own capabilities.
