Western Uganda is one of the regions with many attractions, ranging from Different National parks to beautiful land scape around.
Most of the Itineraries of clients have Western region. Few clients visit Uganda and do not go to the western Uganda region. The road to the western Uganda is good and you can visit on self-drive basis.
Among National parks in the West include Bwindi impenetrable National park, Mgahinga National park, Lake Mburo National park, Queen Elizabeth National park, Kibale National park, and Semliki National park
Activities to do in the western Uganda include Gorilla tracking, Chimpanzee tracking, game drives, boat cruises, nature walks, birding, cultural visits, Golden monkey tracking and etc.
Clients on self-driving with long rental tend to cover almost what the western region can offer; they visit many parks and explore most of the activities. Clients with rooftop tent also enjoy the region since there are so many camping sites in Tourism destinations.
Other attractions in the western Uganda include, Amabere gannyina mwiru, Crater lakes, Bigodi and sebitori swamp visits, Volcano Hiking, Zip lining, and etc. The land scape of some places in the west like Kabale, Kisoro is unique and beautiful.
You can visit western region and then combine it with other regions, like the Northern Uganda where you can visit Kidepo Valley national park, Murchison falls, and etc.
Some clients after visiting the western region cross the border to Rwanda and also enjoy gorilla tracking in Volcano national park, Chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe and game drives in Akagera national park. In Rwanda, visit the Different genocides memorials, and you will have a picture of what the country have experienced before.
