Detailed Itinerary For 10 Days Self Drive Uganda Safari
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport – be welcomed by our driver – get a car and transfer to Kampala for dinner and overnight at Kampala Serena Hotel, Cassia Lodge, or Kampala Forest Cottages.
Day 2: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park – afternoon boat cruise.
Leave Kampala at around 8 am – transfer to western Uganda with a stopover at Uganda Equator to take photos and do experiments – proceed to Lake Mburo National Park for Lunch and thereafter, go for a boat cruise to see water-loving mammals. Dinner and overnight at Lake Mburo Safari Lodge, Arcadia Cottages, or Mantana Tented Camp.
Alternatively, you will sleep in your tent if you carried one
Day 3: Morning Game drive – transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Home of Mountain Gorillas).
After breakfast, you will hire a ranger guide to direct you and show you game drive trails in Lake Mburo National Park. Expect to see a lot of animals like zebras, Antelopes, elephants, Giraffes among others. You will make stopovers to take photos/ films. Return to your accommodation- refresh and then drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Dinner and overnight at Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge, Gorilla Mist Camp or Rushaga Gorilla Camp, or Gorilla Valley Lodge.

Day 4: Memorable Gorilla trekking – Batwa community tour
After breakfast, drive to the park headquarters to be briefed at 7:30 am – together with other travelers, you will be equipped with the Dos and Don’t’s while in the forest on a gorilla trekking tour. 
The 30 minutes briefing will end at 8 am and then start the trek in Bwindi Forest, ensure that you have a bottle of drinking water, packed lunch, and a walking stick. The walk may take 3-5hrs and on meeting gorillas, take photos/ films and then return to your accommodation for lunch and relax.
After lunch, move to the Batwa community for lots of entertainment through traditional music, dance, and drama. Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, drive to the second largest National Park (Queen Elizabeth National Park). The park is stocked with many animals and birds among others. On the way, expect to see the tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector – proceed to the park for an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel to see water mammals like crocodiles, Hippos, monitor Lizards among others. Dinner and overnight at Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge, Bush Lodge, Enganzi Lodge, or Twin Lake Lodge.
Day 6: Morning Game drive – transfer to Kibale National Park (Home of Chimpanzees).
After breakfast, enjoy a game viewing drive in QENP – expect to see elephants, lions, antelopes, Bushbucks, lions, leopards to mention but a few. Have lunch and drive to Kibale National Park for dinner and overnight at Kibale Primate Lodge, Chimps Nest Lodge, Chimpanzee Guesthouse, Nyinabulitwa country Resort.
Day 7: Chimpanzee trekking – afternoon relaxation
After breakfast, drive to the park headquarters for briefing at 7:30 am. KNP offers 2 chimpanzee trekking sessions and you can choose the morning or afternoon shift (advance booking). Walk in the forest to meet chimpanzees – stay with them for a maximum of 1hrs. Return to your accommodation for relaxation as you wait for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park (Largest N.P in Uganda)
After breakfast, drive to the largest National Park (MFNP). Drive and en-route visit the top of Murchison falls for memorable photos and views. Proceed to your accommodation for dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge, Murchison River Lodge, Red chili Rest Camp or stay in your hired tents
Day 9: Game driver – afternoon boat trip to the bottom of the falls
After breakfast, hire a ranger guide for the game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. Expect to see elephants, lions, elephants, antelopes, Leopards, waterbucks among others. Enjoy a boat trip in the afternoon to see birds, hippos, crocodiles among others. Dinner and overnight at your previous accommodation or a tent.
Day 10: Picnic drive Back to Kampala – Evening Departure.
After breakfast, drive at leisure to Entebbe Airport – prepare for evening departure or stay in Kampala.
